WHAT IT TASTES LIKE: Meadow sweet aroma, farmy notes, sweet, grainy and rich with a bold salty finish.
WHERE IT COMES FROM: 1924 is a mixed milk blue cheese (half cow, half sheep) made in the Auvergne region of France. It's modelled on a traditional style of farmhouse Roquefort, which would have been made from any milk available. Roquefort is exclusively made from sheep milk since gaining protected status in 1925 – hence 1924, to mark the original farmhouse version. Bronze medal winner at the 2023 World Cheese Awards.
