WHAT IT TASTES LIKE: Slightly sweet, toasty-roasted hazelnut, butterscotch and floral farmy notes, with a gentle goat flavour. Brilliant white semi hard paste.
WHERE IT COMES FROM: Killeen semi-hard goat's cheese is famously made by a Dutch woman in Ireland from the milk of Swiss Saanen goats. A premier Irish cheese, it's fresh, clean and milky, with a very slight lactic note in the finish when young, developing more fruitiness as it ages up to five months, before gradually turning nutty. Twice Best Goat's Cheese winner at the British Cheese Awards. Bronze medal winner at the 2023 World Cheese Awards.
