Product Description

WHAT IT TASTES LIKE: Fresh and citric with a hint of herbs when young, developing a nuttier taste with age.

WHERE IT COMES FROM: This creamy and smooth cheese, named after the town of Valencay in the Loire Valley of central France, is made from unpasteurised goat’s milk, which has been coated in wood ash before maturation. The cheese then develops a blue-grey rind as moulds move in, giving the rind a nutty, savoury edge.
