Product Description

WHAT IT TASTES LIKE: Strong notes of vanilla and subtle sweetness, which give way to a salty buttermilk finish with a hint of spice in the soft yellow paste.

WHERE IT COMES FROM: Made at Beechmount Farm in County Tipperary, from the milk of a pedigree Friesian herd, by head cheesemaker Geurt van den Dikkenberg and Sarah and Sergio Furno. Cashel Blue was the first ever Irish blue cheese back in 1984 and has gone from being produced in a farmhouse dairy to being served at Irish state banquets. Winner of the gold medal at the 2017 International Cheese Awards and gold at the World Cheese Awards in 2017 and 2016.
